Albergo Cappello

Loved this hotel! We stayed here for three nights after our Alta Via 1 trek and rested up. The rooms are clean, have good air conditioning, tv, comfy bed sheets. The best part was the bathroom especially the rave lights showers. A fun touch. Breakfast buffet every morning was great and had lots of fresh pastries and juices. Very centralized location for everything within walking distance.

You will read about how update the rooms are, which is true. But the hospitality is terrible. We arrived on a Thursday night and he recommended us to park in the Piazza. However Friday into Saturday night our car got towed. He recommended the parking on Thursday till 8 am. But apparently Saturday morning the cars in the Piazza get towed. What the most frustrating part is that the Piazza was recommended by the front desk. However, they did not mention anything about not parking on Friday. It should have been mentioned when we asked where we should park! When trying to talk to the guy, afterward he kept pointing to a small tiny sign in a corner about where not to park. This sign should have been at the front desk to properly warn people. Also should have been a verbal warning by the hotel, when ask where to park. He did not even have the decency to apologize for not mentioning it. If it wasn’t recommended to park in the Piazza, we would not have! Additionally proceed to call me a tramp when we were trying to explain that he should have mentioned it! We were also woken 4 times by fire alarm the first night while he was on shift! Edit: After reading the reviews and responses. It is clear that this owner should not be in the hospitality industry. He did not mention the parking restrictions and recommended that spot. That was the biggest issue. But thank you for admitting it you should have said something and causing us a significant financial loss. This is not a retaliatory review. This is the honest review of their hospitality attitude, which can be seen in other reviews consistently. We are just actively warning future guest of their lack of professionalism. Additionally, the hotel has reputation for this issue based on our conversation with the towing company.

Though renovated lately, the walls were super thin and adjacent rooms noise was annoying. Breakfast was terrible. Coffee undrinkable.
