Hotel Alpina

Great value and nice stay overall! The hotel is walkable from the station. It is a little confusing at first when I arrived to the hotel. We need to check-in at the hotel Tannenhof which located just at the opposite the hotel Alpina. I did the self-check in and the procedure is going great. The hotel receptionists I met were very helpful! The room was quite comfortable for one person. The bed is soft and comfy. For the shared bathroom, it was ok. I have to wait a bit for the water to turn warm. Here’s room for improvement. - the pillow should be more thick than this. - I think if the hotel provides a set of utensils and plate would be more convenience. - Maybe microwave at public space. - Overall, It is definitely one of the best price for staying in pricey Zermatt.

Great location, clean but small rooms. Nice balcony. Enjoyed the stay, elevator doesn't line up with floors so you'll have to go up or down a half flight of stairs.

Our stay was mostly comfortable, though as most reviews suggest: - You need to check in at another hotel very close to Alpina. - Pillows are completely useless and become paper thin the moment you rest your head on them. - Hot water isn't always available. We also felt that the staff was somewhat rude, the cleaning lady especially. We had just kept our luggage at the reception for a few minutes while we were checking out and she was literally standing there holding her vaccum cleaner, so I asked if I should move it outside and she very rudely said YES!, and then she pretty much chased me out with her vaccum cleaner as I was moving the luggage out.
