Absolutely lovely stay. Excellent rooms with coffee, tv, fridge, etc. Very good location central to Laragh and easy walk down to Glendalough and other adventures. Also, exceptional and responsive staff.

We absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with beautifully decorated sitting rooms that make it feel like a charming retreat. The staff are always friendly, and the location is perfect — everything you need is just a short walk away. This isn’t the kind of place where you'd spend the whole day in front of the TV (though you could), but rather a cozy, peaceful base where a comfortable bed awaits you after a full day of adventures. There's a great restaurant just a minute’s walk from Heather House, along with a local pub and a small shop — everything is right at your fingertips. To explore the stunning surroundings, simply stroll down away from village centre to the old woollen mills (there is a shop now). From there, a breathtaking forest path will lead you straight to Glendalough. It’s simply a joy to be here, and we’ve returned many times — and will continue to! Even though not all rooms have in-room tea and coffee facilities, a well-equipped shared kitchen is available, which is a lovely touch. This place truly feels like a home away from home.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The staff was wonderful, the cottage we stayed in had a wonderful garden view it was very clean and had great amenities. We had a perfect stay here!
