The Edwardene

This was our first stay here and we were really impressed. Great location for all things going on in Keswick and walks. Great welcome from Mathew who explained everything and took us to our room showing us the breakfast room and living room with honesty bar. Room was immaculate and warm with a great view. Plenty of tea and coffee for the whole stay. Bed was really warm, cosy and comfortable. Bathroom was on the small side with regards to shower, however, functional, warm and did the job. Plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. The breakfast...was..stunning!! Great a selection of cereals, the cooked breakfast was cooked to order so freshly made and hot and very tasty. Service of the staff was impeccable. I would definately recommend here and we will definately stay again. Thank you.

Lovely traditional B&B. Location is good. Parking is a bit annoying as it's on street, so you might have to drive around a few streets to find a spot. Not a major issue though. Friendly staff and good service. Great breakfast! Rooms are lovely and modern. One minor niggle for me was that the bed was a bit small for two people. It was only a double I think. They have a nice lounge with an honesty bar.

Brilliant wee hotel. From the moment we stepped in Matthew the front of house supervisor was very welcoming and showed us around the building and to our room. The breakfast service is quick and it's a lovely set up. The location is brilliant very close to to the centre. Only issue is there is no parking so very difficult to park up close by. For the rooms they are very well kept and very cosy/ comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The only thing I'd like to point out which is not really hotel fault due to old building and thin walls you can hear a lot. Flushing toilets, pipe work and slight voices from other rooms. This wasn't too big of an issue for us at the time and didn't disturb us and we knew from previous reviews that this was the case. Over all a very nice stay and would definitely book again in the future.
