I'm not giving it a star because the apartment seems very well-kept. I say "seems" because during the booking process, I found it impossible to have a civilized conversation with, I believe, the owner. I spoke to a gentleman who answered me in monosyllabic terms and in a clearly annoyed tone. I'm a pilgrim walking the Via Francigena and expected more friendliness. It's a shame because this review isn't based on my direct experience.

The house is very nice and spacious. It has everything you need for breakfast and a shower, even toothbrushes for guests. -The entrance to the house isn't the best as it's very dark, and if you arrive in the evening you absolutely have to use your cell phone to light the way. One negative thing, and I'm very sorry to say it but it was quite unpleasant, was having to sleep between sheets that smelled completely of cigarette smoke. Even the towels—there are probably smokers in the house/place where sheets and towels are washed, otherwise I don't understand how it's possible. If it hadn't been for this unpleasant inconvenience, it would have been a 4-star hotel. Too bad.

Nice and comfortable apartment, well equipped, not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to the stairs.
