Off on a washed gravel road. Can be used only out of a complete necessity if everything else is booked with an hour cycling or two hours of walking and you do need a stay overnight. The signs at the house are barely visible and hard to understand if you at the right house or need to go to the next one. The entrance door has no markings, thus hard to distinguish if you are at the right door or need to go around the corner to the other one. The rooms have air conditioning but the owner tries to be cheeky and hides the remote controls so you get them after some begging. The excuse is - sleep with open windows at 35C with all the bugs flying in. Bed and shower is present, but linen and towels are not included in the room price !!!! You have to pay 5€ for each item. You find this out after booking a room 😀. Kitchen use is prohibited, rubbish has to be collected after stay and taken with you.

I have been there for a short period, but I could appreciate a lot the close touch with the Nature, the silence and the cares of the hosting people. All of this in the wonderful scenario of the Tuscany country side. It it is obviously not a luxurious place, but pleasant, well kept and nice offering all the essential services. The kindest of people! I asked if I could pitch my tent in their garden and Linda was quick to help me find the a spot and show me the toilet and where I could eat. Such a lovely family, and the grandparents made me feel so welcome! Just a splendid experience!
