Locanda Adriana B&B

Let me start by saying that you won’t be disappointed if you decide to stay at Locanda Adriana! Locanda Adriana is set in a bucolic setting in the medieval hill town of Montefranco, only a few kilometres from the Marmore waterfalls. This charming, recently renovated B&B will exceed your expectations because co-owners Federica and Federico will be sure to make it so. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Federico who immediately made us feel at home. The rooms are large, newly renovated, tastefully decorated and each with its own private bathroom. There is a spacious common lounge area for relaxing in the evening after a day of exploring the surrounding hill towns and mountains. If you prefer, as we did, there is a beautiful terrace with a spectacular view of the breathtaking landscape of the Valnerina. We enjoyed an aperitivo on the terrace before dinner one evening when Federica surprised me with an elder flower cocktail that was truly memorable, especially knowing that she foraged for the elder flowers herself that afternoon to make the elder flower syrup. From the terrace we moved indoors to the dining area for dinner. My expectations were high after the elder flower cocktail and Federica did not disappoint! Each course was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Federica’s philosophy of quality and freshness of the ingredients is evident in what she creates. Halfway through dinner, we were already planning our return!

Oh what a delight it was to stay at Locanda Adriana! We had 3 wonderful days exploring the small town of Montefranco and surrounds and rejoiced at coming back to Frederico and Frederica’s beautiful bnb at the end of each day. The attention to detail and quality of the accommodation was memorable and totally deserving of it’s 5 star rating. The food, prepared with love and skill by Frederica, was absolutely outstanding. We would come back in a heartbeat.

What a lovely stay at this B & B. The room was so clean and comfortable. We dined in such a cozy area. The food was super. The Locandina di Adriana is such a warm and welcoming place. Almost forgot.... Our breakfast was great too.
