Gasthof zur Linde

Very best Rösti we ever had. We went for dinner to Zur Linde and choose for the ‘Rösti zur Linde’. The very friendly staff served us fast and with passion for food and for her business. She is the kindest we met this week here in the region. The rösti was the best we ever had. Not the tourist-version you can eat in Interlaken, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen but the real farmer-rösti. We will come back as soon as possible and will never forget how good it was. We will broadcast it further and hope many locals and tourist will find your place. Very big compliment!!!!!

We passed by Lauterbrunnen as it was to pretty crowded with many tourists for a Saturday lunch. I searched up a restaurant nearby with >4 stars and found this place. Presentation was nice. We opted for 2 “fitness” choices (for the burger, and pork schnitzel). The accompanying salads come with lots of balsamic vinegar. The Linde Rösti came smothered with the raclette cheese. (I was hoping for a crackley edge of rösti) Service felt a bit slow but this could also be interpreted as being hospitable and allowing guests to eat and chat and chill out post-meal. We walked away feeling very full.

Delicious homemade food, schnitzel is very good, heavenly good spare ribs. We also had a homemade chocolate cake which was delicious. Absolutely great service.
