Recommend to find somewhere else to stay. The rooms are very moist and smells like mould. Very tight stairs and low openings. The owner/host is bad in english and was snappy and stressed out when he met us. Location is also bad, quite a bit up the hill, but only thing to see out the windows are buildings. We had a non-refundable 2 day stay, but we booked another place anyway.

The room smelled very humid and as we took a closer look it was full of mould. I don’t want to know how the mattresses and the walls behind the furniture looks. Additionally, there was urine on the toilet and brown stains on the bathroom door (we didn’t take a closer look at those) We prioritized our health and did not stay there!! Choose another location in Riomaggiore or take the train to another city, nothing can be worth to stay there even if they would pay me for it! At least we were able to cancel without much discussion and did not have to pay for the reservation.

Terrible experience. We arrived late due to a strike that led to train cancellations. However, at 10 pm there was nobody at the “bed and breakfast”. In fact, we believe there was no one in the entire place. We called and the “abrasive guy” other reviewers mentioned, told us they cancel our room and that they were all booked. Thanks to google translator, we messaged him via WhatsApp in Italian explaining everything we went through that day, and minutes later he called asking us to come back. We were able to spend the night there but as others said there’s a lot of humidity and questionable smells. The rooms are nice but the service is terrible. The front desk lady in the morning who couldn’t speak English was rushing us to leave after I asked if they had at least coffee to offer (of course they don’t). Then I saw they were doing repairs at the site, and I also saw at least four bedrooms doors with their wide open (maybe to prevent more humidity), meaning they were not all booked as the guys told us. I felt lied to - maybe they schedule repairs and they shouldn’t be booking rooms at all?
