Gasthaus Pension „Zum Pfaffenstein“

We recently visited with my family from the US. Unfortunately, the weather was not pleasant, but the staff let us use their umbrella, so we can still go on our planned hike! We were greeted in a very pleasant and warm way. Along our menu and daily specials, we were also offered blankets to warm up after the rainy hike! Food was outstanding, portions big and very hot; which we appreciated. Even my American friends said that those were the best fries ever! Definitely recommend, and will be coming back !

Be very careful. I orderd the salad with chicken, but the chicken was not cooked through. I noticed it to late, and just stopped eating, i wasn't in the mood to fight trough a language barrier. Like most places in this area, they don't know a lick of English, and don't care if you understand or not, it's your responsibility to understand . Also only card payments from 25 or up. Here is to hopping and dont get food poisoning on the second to last day of the Malerweg.

Staffs were so unfriendly and very rude. They got us the table inside and asked us to moved two times. We ordered two cups of coffee first. When our coffee arrived, the staff asked if we wanted to oder food. I asked nicely if that I can oder it later. She was kinda rolling her eyes, didn’t say anything and left. About 5 minutes later, came another staff to our table and told us to hurry drinking our coffee. Definitely, RUDE. Not deserve a 4,2 stars
