The Galleon Inn

We had breakfast there and was top notch. The sausages were not your usual deep fried, but cook properly. The bacon, sausages, hash brown, and other bits were of good quality. Best I have had for a long time. Can’t comment on the room we didn’t stay there.

Lovely pub but even thought it was pretty quiet, the food took ages. We didn’t mind too much as we weren’t in a rush so just sat back and relaxed but over 40 minutes for a jacket potatoe and sausage casserole seemed a rather long time. The food wasn’t anything fancy but did the job.

We only went for lunch at the restaurant (didn’t have a room so cannot comment on those) We sat outside in the courtyard (which was fortunately under cover as it did start to rain) and were made to feel welcome with the dogs and had explained to us were we couldn’t take them. The service was good the waiter attentive, we didn’t have to wait long for the food which came piping hot and generous portion size. Very clean and pleasant place to eat. Would recommend.
