Darroch View B&B

The owner, Ms Morgan, has a non-refundable policy (fine) but you can contact her asking for assistance in a refund, should you need to cancel. BEWARE. She told us that, if she filled the room on our dates, she would refund us. Prior to the dates, I checked them to find there was no availability. Anticipating she would honour her 'verbal contract', she told me she had blocked the dates so she could have a day off!! NO REFUND as per the policy. Just so you know, if you are in the same situation be sure to check the cancellation/refund policy and do not believe anything she says!! It could save you a lot of money.

The location of Darroch View is fairly wonderful, nearly on the Great Glen Way. The room was clean enough, but we'd been spoiled for comfort these past days and the bed really was small for two. The refrigerator was a bit noisy, so we just turned that off, no worries. The host was friendly enough, of course we were on time so that will have helped. Breakfast was fine. A generous cup of coffee and the scrambled eggs as you'd like them. The shower was a menace though. Stay vigilant or be willing to get scorched.

Clean, comfortable room, lovely welcome, everything was explained to us. Breakfast was great, good choices and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast. Enjoyed walking to the waterfalls after dinner at the local hotel. We slept well and would certainly stay here again.
