Perfect location next to the ferry terminal. Doreen looked after us well, she is informative, friendly and very helpful in every aspect. We loved our comfortable twin-room, got everything we needed, nice breakfast to set us off every day. Couldn’t be happier.

Doreen, the owner of Hillside B & B could not be a better host. She is full of good advice & knowledge about her beautiful island. The single bedroom I had was very comfortable & cosy. It had a lovely sea view & a private modern bathroom with shower across the corridor. The breakfast was plentiful with a fantastic muesli, various cereals, cold meats & cheeses plus fruit, yoghurts, more than enough to set you off for the day. I would thoroughly recommend this great B & B to anybody spending a few days on gorgeous Barra.

What a wonderful, warm and welcoming host Doreen is! The B&B is perfectly placed for the local hotels where we ate in the evenings, and Barra bike hire and the local shop are literally a 5 min walk away. We stayed in the twin room which was warm and cosy with lovely comfortable beds and a en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is continental and served in a lovely room overlooking the bay. A big thank you to Doreen for such an enjoyable 4 day stay in your home.
