We attended a wedding at Lynham's recently. The food was absolutely delicious. So many people commented how they had eaten so much it felt uncomfortable. In a good way. Everything was so tasty it was difficult to stop eating. The starters were reasonably large, a choice of soup or chicken and mushroom vol au vent. There's were three main course options, salmon, beef and turkey and ham all served with delicious mashed potatoes, roast potato and a very large vegetable portion per table. Very standard options but they stood out because they were so tasty. We didn't stay as the hotel but what we saw it was impeccably clean, very nicely decorated. It was traditional decor but didn't look dated in the slightest. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The setting, high on the Wicklow holds is beautiful, just a few minutes away from Glenalough lakes and visitor centre. Definitely a place we will visit again.

Stayed in one of their outside rooms. A little problem with a smell in bathroom. The staff immediately came to room and offered to move us. We declined as we were settled. They provided us with a free bottle of wine and reserved a nice table beside the fire for our meal with a free drink. We found all the staff to be friendly and extremely helpful and very prompt in dealing with any of our needs. We were doing a walk and when we came back we were wet and they provided us a room to change. I would have no problem recommending this hotel and hope to visit again soon.

Reviewing the restaurant: 4 of us stopped in for a carvery after Glendalough. Carvery dinner was spot on, lovely welcoming bar staff, great Guinness. The interior of the pub is homely and warm, real country pub feeling. Before we arrived we saw a review regarding the head chef who does the carvery. I’m sorry to say it’s spot on. Firstly, she seemed annoyed that she had to come and serve us. The other staff seem intimidated by her. We attempted to chat and smile, which was met with grunts and glaring stares. Threw your dinner at the poor girl next to her. Really has a face like a smacked you know what, which is sad because she’s really letting down the side. I hope everything is okay at home with her.
