Visited for a great Sunday lunch, pub was a bit noisy (not their fault!) but we did have a bit of a headache hangover! Food took a while to arrive but once it did it was great. Plenty of meat, only 2 potatoes but we had ordered all of the extras, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets and stuffing. Really lovely meal and portions.

I'd like to start by saying the bartender was an absolute angel, however the food was not good. We'd thought to pop into a local place and alas, we were bent over. Food is overpriced and i wouldn't have served it as a chef myself. We got three starters, all of which were frozen. The squid stood out here, as being maybe 7 tiny balls of battered cephalopod (about a gram each) surrounding some botted sweet chili. Also starring was the "mushroom and blue cheese fondue" which was, in reality, a slab of toast with five mushrooms and an aroma of cheese topped with an entire bag of rocket (and some chips. Chips were with everything.) I bought the "spicy cheese toastie" which was, again, on slabs of bread but the flavour was adequate. I think the price was far too much. Our party also bought a chowder, which im told was "fine", and a 6oz beef burger which looked like a rustlers. Frankly you should steer clear as we are now limping and wont be sitting down for a few hours. We spent nearly a hundred pounds. I'll finish with a haiku; We put trust in you, Purchased fondue, But what was served was doo-doo.
