We had a fantastic stay with Les Suites. As two couples, the layout of the suite was perfect! The constant service to our room ensured a comfortable, clean and content stay. The spa and pool were a great addition. A special mention to both Alexis and Pascal for being so accommodating of us and allowing us to use the shuttle at our disposal, and always greeting us with a smile and friendliness. Breakfast was great! A mixture of hot and cold options were available, and tasty, good quality coffee. The waiting staff were very friendly (especially Louis). Ski in ski out was also a great perk when coming from the Almes slopes! Thank you very much to all the staff and Les Suites du Montana for a wonderful and memorable stay.

The suites are great for families and the half board option allows a choice of 4 different style restaurants to eat in the evening. Food was excellent. The hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. The location does allow ski in / out but is a little way out of the centre - which didn’t bother us as Pascal was always willing to drive us in the hotel shuttle. Great family holiday

It’s for sure not a 5 star hotel. I am not sure how they managed to obtain this rating. The hotel is very dated. Many things were simply not working when we were there (the spa is quite poor, sauna was not working, the pool much too cold. Even the showers were “out of service” when we were there). And nobody bothered to fix anything. (You call the reception 5 times, nothing happens, and then are told that nothing can be done because everyone is at lunch. It’s really bizarre.) The restaurant is ok. The food is not “gourmet”. It is trying to be something but doesn’t actually taste very good (which in my opinion is much worse than simpler food that tastes like food). It was very under-staffed and we had to wait for the meals for ages to come and then even longer between courses, to the point where nobody was hungry anymore. The management was super unhelpful and in fact have a rather arrogant attitude to anything you bring to their attention which I don’t think is the best way to run a hotel. One day we were stuck down in Tignes and could not get back up to the hotel (due to snowy conditions). The hotel refused to help us (or even help taking just the ski equipment; it takes several hundred meters to walk and it’s quite a steep walk. Especially difficult if you have children, ski equipment and in ski boots. Fine if they felt too risky to drive clients but they could at least have helped with equipment (although we saw other cars driving perfectly fine, in snow chains). There doesn’t in general seem to be any desire to help which seems unusual. The same happened when we arrived. We had to lug all the suitcases uphill and the hotel would not help at all. (Except the concierge, who is extremely nice and always trying to help, within his capacity). Hotel parking costs 3x the price of the general indoor car park just down the road, for no good reason. The location is probably ok; it is more of a “ski out” hotel as skiing back in seems problematic. At least when we were there. Rather disappointing.
