The Loch Ness Inn

Great location. Very quiet yet easily accessible. Ample parking and great to use the ev charging facility. All very clean. Room was small but well planned and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. Very good shower and plenty of hot water. Bar was great and the restaurant had a cosy ambience. The interior has been sympathetically renovated with understated style, ambient lighting and interesting and relevant pictures. Dinner was excellent, pork belly, cod and chicken. Breakfast was also delicious. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Room and food and drinks prices are very reasonable. We look forward to returning.

I stayed in the bunk house. The room was great value, cheaper than a lot of other hostels and in very good condition. Beds and bedding were comfortable and didn’t feel too cheap. Since it was the off season, there were very few people in the hostel and one night I had the room to myself. There is a double kitchen that is well stocked with appliances and dishware. Location was perfect — walkable to town but tucked away enough to be quiet and peaceful. I could even see a stream from my window.

Beyond impressive. I arrived via public transport in the late afternoon and collected my keycard which was neatly presented in a little envelope by the bar staff (they have a restaurant and bar in the adjacent building). I booked a shared room, however, I was the only guest in this room. There was an impeccably clean shower and toilet with soap in each and a complimentary towel. The room was well heated for winter and had a clothing rack with hangars and two bunk beds. The view of the stream was a nice addition. The kitchen, however, was the bonus. Professionally equipped and brand new and clearly designed with common sense. There was ample space and it was light and cosy. During the summer the outside would be ideal for gatherings as there is plenty outdoor seating. Everything was exceptional, and the bus stop is opposite. Would recommend 110%.
