Camping Municipal d'Ustou

One of the best camps I've been in. The showers are spacious with a good pleasure, toilet with seats(what is not that common) and toilet paper....kitchen and common room....omg, heaven if its raining. Friendly stuff, fresh croissant in the morning, relatively good coffee. Shop has all you need.And everything in a quiete place with beautiful views!

Excellent campground, very close to multiple hiking sites. The staff is friendly and welcoming. A local shop, a bar, and a swimming pool are available close by.

Spent six nights in a tent on this campsite, using it as a base for daily hikes. This was in September, outside the school holidays. The site was quiet - a few longer term residents and many day hikers (GR10's) passing through. Site is clean, open, shaded. Facilities are above basic, a large public room is available with free phone charging, a fridge, microwave, etc. A well-stocked high-quality épicerie is located next to the entrance, there is a bar/restaurant across the road and a Post Office less than 100 metres away. The site is well placed for access to high-level (2000m) hikes.
