Hands down the BEST Indian menu I’ve tried, The chicken Jalfreezi is to DIE for.. so flavourful and not too spicy! 🌶️ (along with a peshwari naan) such a great meal, I’ve actually booked a table for tonight 😊 Also! Manager jay was so great! Very talkative and attentive, I couldn’t thank him more for making our dining experience more enjoyable❤️

We had an amazing stay at MacDonald Cabins — the location alone makes it worth it. Set right by a river and surrounded by mountains, the views are spectacular and exactly what we came for. The cabins themselves are charming and comfortable, and there’s a great vibe overall. The on-site restaurant stood out — a unique Scotland × Indian fusion menu that was bold, tasty, and a really nice surprise in a remote setting. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. That said, there are two areas that could be much better: • The common kitchen needs improvement — it wasn’t as clean as it should be and felt under-equipped for guests relying on it. • The bathroom setup isn’t ideal. The lack of private bathrooms in the cabins was inconvenient. Options for en-suite bathrooms would make a big difference. Despite those issues, we’d recommend this place for the views, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. If they upgrade the facilities and cleanliness in shared areas, it could easily be a 5-star stay.

I had a fantastic stay at the MacDonald Hotel and Cabins. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and I want to give a special mention to PARDIP, who was extremely helpful throughout my visit. The whole place was very clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. The view from the bar was amazing, especially in the evening. For anyone walking the West Highland Way, I highly recommend stopping here—it’s a comfortable, peaceful place with great service.
