Our family, 2 adults and 2 kids, stumbled upon this place today. I'm so glad we did. The landlady and landlord were so friendly, couldn't do enough for us. The history of the place was incredible, and the owners were more than happy to talk about it, and about some of the spirits, other than what were behind the bar! I had the Beef Sunday Roast which came in a bucket-sized Yorkshire pudding with superb roasts, veg and a gravy boat to go with it. The kids had Chicken Curry with rice and a naan, and my wife had a plate of roast vegetables. It was all of the very highest quality- the hardest part was leaving the pub and continuing our walk around Looe! I highly recommend this pub (we sat at the same Table that Sean Connery had sat at whilst visiting the pub in 1958, but that's recent history, given the pub was opened in 1516), you won't be disappointed, in fact, you'll be nothing but impressed with the food, drinks, service and kindness you'll find within.

A pub where you feel immediately at home. The coffee and hot chocolate were generous and reasonably priced. Service was very friendly and toilets were clean. Highly recommend it. 😊

We were very fortunate to stay at the Jolly Sailor last month when other arrangements fell through. Zoë was absolutely amazing; so very helpful, and a lovely person overall. The room was comfortable and quiet ... we honestly had one of our best night's sleep of our entire holiday. Garry and all of the others were fabulous too, and the breakfast was delicious as well. We highly recommend.
