Agorà Park Hotel

We’ve stayed here a few times over the last few years but the hotel has gone downhill since the new manager took over. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children and had booked a specific room that allowed the kids to sleep on individual beds. When we got there we were allocated a different room to the one we booked. The room had a bunk bed where the top bunk was basically a shelf 5 feet in the air and with no side barrier to stop my kids rolling off the side in their sleep. We told the English speaking receptionist that it was dangerous for them and asked to change rooms. He tried to help but was overruled by the new manager, who was extremely rude, despite an email chain showing the mistake was her’s personally. She told us (in Italian thinking we wouldn’t understand) to take it or leave and walked off. As a result we had to give the kids our bed and slept on mattresses on the floor around them all week. Overall the rooms are dated and old fashioned - not worth the price we were paying. Since coming under new management, you now have to pay a daily charge to use the hotel’s umbrellas on the beach. The breakfast is also not as good as it used to be. Very disappointing and we won’t be going there again.

Stayed for 8 nights from day one had an issue with a fridge in the room, when I mentioned at the reception the reply was "it is a hotel firdge"! The same day the shades fell on the balcony and I was stuck for 30 minutes the second afternoon when we took our kids to sleep an employee was drilling into a wall waking my children up. Otherwise cleaning ladies ok waiters ok. But as somebody who has 15+ years working at the most luxurios hotels around the world it would be nice to have some discount at least for the sundberns never the less for extras that I consumed in a hotel!

The Agora Park hotel is very well situated and has a lovely garden area with pool and sunbeds and is right on the beach. The bar staff, life guards, pool attendants and waiting staff all work really hard as well as the maids. The hotel is a credit to them! The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our waitress Edina was particularly lovely, kind and helpful and the waiting staff are all very efficient and friendly. We had a problem with our air conditioning which didn't work on arrival and we had to complain 3 times, with 2 nights and no sleep, but it was sorted out after that. There is very little soundproofing between rooms, so be warned and were kept awake with noisy guests next door, but there isn't much you can do about that. This hotel is very popular with Italian and German guests. We were the only English guests whilst on our 10 night stay. The food is delicious and certainly of a very good standard. Congratulations to the chef, who delivers tasty, fresh and delicious food every night. You have to pick whether you want a sunbed by the pool or on the beach, you can't do both or alternate, which is a shame. The reception staff are helpful but don't appear very approachable. I would stay here again, but won't because of the noise issue and also the furniture in the rooms is all very old and our chest of drawers was missing handles, scratched wood and the wardrobe door fell off! It is an expensive 3 Star Hotel! We have stayed at other 3 star hotels and 4 star Hotels and this price compares with other 4 stars in Jesolo. Very popular with families so lots of children and noise that goes with them! I would return for the helpful staff, the food and the lovely pool area, but the noise and the fact that there are no other English guests puts us off. Simone and Fredrico in the Pool bar were lovely, very friendly and I enjoyed a number of the cocktails and would love to have drinks there again, with them !
