Killarney Flesk Caravan & Camping Park

Stayed here for the start of our Kerry way walk. Perfect little campsite on the Kerry way (so you get 30 minutes of walking done!) Really good facilities and lovely people who run it. Would recommend!

June 2025: Located a short walk from Lough Leane; cross over the road and turn left on the pathway head eastward of the campsite. Turn right through the Lake Hotel grounds gated entrance (but avoid the path signposted for Hotel guests, just walk a further 50 metre or so to the more grand gates). This is well worth a visit as the scenery of the Reeks is picturesque especially with the lake too. The toilet block is well designed accept the shower cubicles have a tendency to leak water to the outside beyond the doors; this is not only to do with the slope of the floors but the lack of shower curtain (Covid no doubt has something to do with that item). There is also a lack of shelving to put say shower toiletries and flannel on when using the shower. The kitchen area has three tables for those with tents or small campers to utilise; micro, air fryer and a large old rusty freezer cabinet. Of the five sinks in the kitchen room none of them drained quickly so there is some issue with the plumbing. The chemical toilet could do with a small sink too. The grey waste water drive-over is actually outside the entrance, but there is no water facility currently in operation. The pitches are generally small of width and with an equally small grassed area assigned to it. However, at 47€ a night one would expect perfection and as such this site doesn’t quite live up to that mark; but, its still a good site to see Killarney or to use as a base to explore the Reeks or Gap of Dunloe.

Great gated campsite. Feels really safe. Large facilities with separate men and women showers and toilets. Showers included in fee. Large dining room with lots of sinks, laundry room and sitting room to relax in. A freezer but no fridge but that can be easily ignored considering everything else. Booked for camping really last minute and they were very helpful, would definitely stay again!
