Lovely place and staff are so friendly. Parking can be hard sometimes as its a weird shape carpark if you have a large vehicle or van. They do have an overflow car park just down the lane. The place is perfect and spotless. Location is ideal the pub down the road the horse and groom is definitely worth a visit sports and very reasonable priced drinks

Whoever is plating the Jacket potatoes should be more attentive. It comes with probably a spoonful of filling and no butter ( maybe increase price a bit so we can actually eat the whole potato with filling). We don’t like sending food back and were hungry so ended up eating half of it “ dry”, putting the salad and chutney on top… I should’ve taken a picture so it doesn’t look like I’m exaggerating on how little filling it was served with but didn’t think about it then. I had sandwiches in the past and Sunday roast, all of them have been great. Good atmosphere; coffee and service were lovely.

This hotel is at the end of the high street, so easy walking of the shops. There is ample car parking but not directly beside or behind the hotel, a short walk along an alleyway that was at some point a road, if the hotel could give access towards the rear it would be useful, to access the car parks you have to negotiate a narrow lane. The hotel does have a life, it just doesn't go to all the various floors, some stairs still have to be negotiated. Our room on the first floor was good size, clean with plenty of storage area, a bath with shower, when we had problems with the heating, they quickly provided a small heater which worked great. We had a meal included in our stay, we were given £25 / person allowance against the main menu. Breakfast the first morning was a full English which was hot, but the plate was very greasy, the second morning we opted for poached eggs on toast, cold and over to cooked not great. The other items, cereal and pastries were fine. The main bar area is large and welcoming, drinks were on a price to be expected for a hotel, the lunchtime bar menu seemed very popular, despite it's location it was very quiet but our room was to the rear of the property. Would I stay here again, yes no problem at all.
