Fountain Cottage Cafe and B&B

Me and my partner stayed at the Fountain Cottage Cafe for the last 2 nights in February 2026. We were warmly welcomed promptly on arrival and shown our room which included a spa bath with TV. The owners had a boiler issue affecting heating only (not hot water) prior to our arrival which they gave full warning of beforehand. This wasn't an issue as, if we needed it, an electric heater was left in the room for our use. We were also offered a generous complementary gift voucher for the attached cafe which served great breakfast options, traybakes, quality packed lunches, and various hot meal choices. The location is in Bellingham with easy walking access to local amenities. I would recommend and would happily stay again.

Great stop off for cyclists - they even do cyclist discount and have a locked bike store outside. Huge menu, the tuna and melt panini was delicious. All the portions are huge and staff were so friendly

We spent New Years Eve here. Breakfast on New Years Day 2026 was superb. Lovely staff and made to feel welcome. Second time here and will definitely be going back. This place was voted best cafe in Northumberland.
