Riparo Dei Cien

The former Cien-Vicomorasso cableway, used to transport hay from the surrounding mountain plateaus (the Cien). Built in 1950, the other end ended in Vicomorasso (from Via Consiglio), for about a kilometer with a double cable. Two kilometers of cable, rented by locals in Milan, was unrolled by hand through the valley to the mountain. Work and effort from days gone by. It was later removed due to its size and height for helicopter landings, etc. Today, it remains intact without the cable, serving as a makeshift shelter or a very basic bivouac for hunters and others.
