Hotel Goldener Löwe Kufstein

Great view of the fortress right from our room! Good service and very friendly staff. There are other hotels, but closer to the river and the louder it gets. This is a nice quiet place where you can sleep in peace while you are here.

All of the bad reviews are from before the remodel. We had dinner, a sauna and stayed the night in a recently remodeled room and absolutely loved it The details: kind staff checks you in and offers up things to do around town (awesome!). Turns out the hotel has a free sauna (amazing!). Dinner was 15 euros cheaper and twice as good as the food in Vienna (yummm). The lamps have switches in the floor to make them easy to turn on and off (what luxury) and last but not least, the hotel logo is engraved into the bathroom wall. This hotel paid attention to the big and little things and it shows. Stay here.

Nice and friendly staff. Very welcoming atmosphere. We ate at the restaurant but arrived for the late menu. It was OK and the taste was good. The room was decent but a little worn down. The bathroom had a little moldy smell but nothing that serious after 5 minutes with the door open. Would not have a problem staying here again.
