Gîte La Fermette de Bérismenil

Rustic, minimalist… well, very, very rustic!!! Minimal lighting in the main rooms. No heating, which is essential to combat the dampness in the ground floor. Only part of the building shown in the photos is available! The floorboards creak and groan, much to the delight of anyone trying to sleep. No amenities whatsoever: no dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, salt, pepper… nothing!!! Door handles are loose (nothing to repair them). In conclusion, even though… it's very expensive for what it is.

Beautiful garden. The dogs were in heaven, and so were we. Great BBQ! We thoroughly enjoyed the pétanque court. Lovely walks to be had near the gîte. The house is large and spacious enough for 6 people. It was peaceful, which was very pleasant. 3 lovely, large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Two bedrooms have a sink, which is fantastic. Spacious and very clean bathroom. The best part was the three toilets: one on the ground floor and two upstairs. I really have nothing negative to say and I hope to return soon. Thank you to the owners for the warm welcome and the bottle of Chouffe.
