I was only going to stay for three days, but somehow I ended up staying for five. I'll tell you why that happened. On the first day, I traveled by bicycle, but it got dark, so I went to the nearest campsite. I didn't make a reservation, but the main office was open and the lights were on, but the reception door was closed. When I rang the bell on the left side of the door, a kind boss came out and greeted me. Surprisingly, checkin was done online through QR codes i was able to receive a map of the campsite with a QR code on A4 paper, and they were worried about me, telling me to set up a tent before sunset, even if the check in was late. I pitched a tent & checked in and i receive Gastein card for free Bus and looked around the facilities to take a shower, but at first, all the lights were off. I thought, "Oh, maybe I'm in an unused building?" but I just turned on the lights. The shower facilities were nice because they had warm water, and they were really clean, spacious, and had many shower facilities. After finishing my shower and looking around more, I found a microwave, a hairdryer, a vending machine, chairs and tables with cushions, a spacious meeting room with board games, three washing machines, a space for hand-washing, a space for dishwashing, and a space for drying laundry on the first floor of the main building. The ultimate reason I stayed for an additional two days was that on the first day, while cutting sausages inside the tent, I made a tiny hole in the mat, and every time I slept, the air gradually drained out, making it really cold. So, I got permission from the boss and received a new pad by courier. However, while staying there, I felt good every morning when I woke up after seeing the bad gastein and the surrounding scenery. (It was still cold, but) in the morning, frost and snow covered the lawn and the tent. Others were worried about me camping in a tent on a cold day, but I managed to sleep warmly by filling a water bottle with hot water in the bathroom and putting it in my sleeping bag. I was the only one camping in the tent, so I was able to use the lawn by myself. (It was so spacious that there was nothing to do, but) when the sun rose, it warmed up, which made me feel good. Next to the wide lawn, there was also a dog playground separated by a fence from a playground. There were many fascinating equipment at the playground that I had never seen before. Being in a scenic spot with two large trampolines for tightrope walking, mini rock climbing, and two beautiful trampolines made me feel good. As I greeted people I met first, I gradually became closer to them. On the last day, while unpacking, the kind RV camper grandparents handed me bread and dessert they made themselves in the morning, which I was able to enjoy deliciously. I met many good people, and the boss is very kind, with good scenery and good facilities. The main facility had electrical outlets in every room, allowing us to freely charge our phones, portable chargers, electric bicycles, and battery shut-off devices. I was worried someone might take them, but even after leaving them all night, no one took them. There was a swimming pool next to the main building, but there was no water, perhaps because the weather got colder (in the fall). It's a campsite I want to come back to in the summer. The check-out time was fixed, and it was written that I had to leave by 12 o'clock after check-out. After packing all my belongings, I went to check out at 10, and the boss gave me a small discount for me, who was staying in the tent because it was cold. After paying 70 euros on the 5th, I sorted the trash and set off for Lienz.

Lovely campsite close to both Lienz and the Großglockner Pass. The site is part of a small working farm with cows, surrounded by a beautiful garden full of flowers, fruit trees, and berry bushes. There’s a small restaurant open for a few hours each day – reservations are essential. The food was fine, but nothing exceptional. Toilets and showers are of a high standard, clean and well maintained. You can order fresh bread for the morning, and there’s a fridge selling beer as well as the farm’s own eggs and other local produce.

We stayed there two nights during our vacation. The people working there had the rudest attitude towards us, without any reason. It was such a pitty, because the location was nice. Owner was also checking the electricity consumption of our camper caravan which felt a bit odd since we paid for it. We couldn't get any food after 7 pm, and my gluten free diet was also "a problem". Not a very nice welcoming, so unfortunately cannot recommend this place.
