Jugendherberge Echternach

Weekend with my sister (family). The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean. Room with shower is also possible for a small surplus. So we were both very satisfied. My sister is a bit older so the hostel is also for non-youth. On a 15 minute walk from Echternach city center. Very good location to do the Mullerthall hikes.

Thank you very much for your warm welcome and kind attention. I truly appreciated the delicious vegetarian meals — such thoughtful moments stay with us for a lifetime — as well as the clean and bright rooms and the convenient large parking space for our bus. We also loved the hotel’s excellent location, close to beautiful nature parks and historical places like Schengen, where the Schengen Agreement was signed, and the charming city of Luxembourg. The rooms are nice, but there are a lot of old people and it was pretty empty when I was here. I can imagine it would be a bit cramped when fully booked. It looks clean at first glance, but if you look closely it is a bit dirty everywhere. The staff was allright but not very attentive. But, it is a cheap place to stay and perfect for hiking the trails nearby. Overall allright. The one dinner I had was disgusting though, so I cancelled the other one. And they were working on the building so I got woken up by drilling at 7.30 my whole stay, which was horrible.
