Chalet Mestia

I traveled from San Francisco, California to Swaneti with a group of friends on my first trip to Georgia, and was blown away at the winter fairyland that is chalet mestia! Tucked in the snowy mountains (during the winter season that I was there), the chalet is exceedingly charming, cozy, and effortlessly luxurious. An enchanting cabin with a wood burning fireplace and amenities of a high end and sleekly designed resort, the chalet was both very rustic and modern. The daily breakfasts were also delicious and with a rotating and fresh menu each and every day, and the attached restaurant was among the best meals that I had during my two week stay in Georgia, from the food quality and deliciousness, to presentation, to ambiance and hospitality. The resort is a perfect place to cozy up after a long day of skiing, play games and sip coco by the fire, or just stay in to watch the snow fall. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, and am grateful to the staff for making our stay feel like a magical home away from home.

Highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Mestia. The staff is incredible and went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms are clean, cozy and have great views of the city. I’ll definitely be staying here for all my future trips to Svaneti. P.S. the pastry shop on the first floor has wonderful cakes and sweets!

It was a rainy morning, and we were searching for a place to have breakfast. Most of the nearby restaurants were closed. We decided to enter this hotel because it looked like a cafe from the outside. They were a bit surprised to see us, but they graciously allowed us to stay in their chill-out zone and even offered us the breakfast they had prepared for their guests. It was a very kind gesture. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with their hospitality and the quality of service. I would definitely consider staying here in the future.
