Not been here for a meal for about 20 years. Stopped for lunch on the way home. It didn't disappoint the food was superb, so much so we are planning a return for dinner. We we came back for dinner and stayed the night. Wonderfully quirky room, with a 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath. Staff were excellent and food was again good. I am feeling a little frail this morning 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Absolutely gorgeous pub. Beautiful, full of history and character. Excellent food (my dessert was incredible - chocolate parfait). Easy to park, outdoor seating. Dog friendly too! Brilliant.

Stopped off here for breakfast on the way back from Cornwall to break the post-holiday blues… met friends, both dogs in tow, and honestly top decision 🐶🐶☕️ Breakfast was absolutely massive, proper good quality, no skimping, no nonsense. The kind of plate that makes you question if lunch is even necessary. And the real shocker? £10 a head INCLUDING a decent latte. In 2025. Somewhere, a brunch menu just fainted. Friendly vibe, dogs welcome, bellies full, caffeine levels restored. If you’re travelling back north and need feeding properly this is the one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would detour again without hesitation. #ProperBreakfast #DogFriendly #RoadTripStop #CornwallComeDown #LatteIncluded #YorkshireGrub #BigBreakfastEnergy #WorthTheStop 🥓🍳☕️🐾
