It was a very lovely stay with such a great hospitality. Especially the breakfast was delicious, it was such a warm welcome for us. Definitely recommend especially if you have a car. It is also 20-25 mins by bus to the center.

They’re just lovely people, at the Agriturismo Le Macine. I highly recommend this place, Florence like you haven’t seen it or experienced it since reading about it in an EM Forster novel. Simple, does all it needs to and a little more, but also extremely welcoming and interesting. Petro has a thousand olive trees. He was born in the house as were his three daughters. Petro is 83 today. His younger two daughters still live in the house. All were born there too. Oh, I’ve said that haven’t I, what he described, if I understood correctly, and in the presence of his wife of 55 years, as at home calvings. Just a beautiful, beautiful experience, eating breakfast altogether, sharing, laughing out loud. Delicious.

This was a great overnight stay for us! The Italian family running this B&B are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure you know where to go and what to see in Florence. On our arrival we were given a map of Florence and the busses we needed to catch to and from were written down for us. We were also given a travel book to read all about Florence! The room is big and spacious and very cool in summer due to its traditional old brick walls. This place is a little off the beaten track and tucked behind a main road with easy and quick access to the bus that runs every 20mins into Florence. For an authentic Italian experience go here! We had a fabulous Italian style breakfast that was all homemade and healthy - one of the best breakfast during our trip. With at least 3 generations of the family living here you get a true Italian experience and can chat to everyone and learn all the best tips and history of Florence and Italy. P.s they make wine and olive oil!
