Antico Rifugio

Stayed for 4 nights. Very unusual and interesting room. Good size room is clean and cool during summer heatwaves. Love that it’s central 50 meters to the castle less than 5 minutes walk to the main square with bars and restaurants. Nearby there is a good size car park which is perfect if you rent a car. Central position in Puglia so it’s easy to explore. Highly recommended. Can be noisy at night because of restaurants- not a big problem.

We couldn't find the accommodation, which is located in the historic center with limited traffic. We found it after contacting the host. Parking nearby is paid, even at night. Our room was on the ground floor and had no windows, except for two small windows near the front door, which couldn't be opened because we were in an alley, where there were people passing by. Cell phone reception was zero, with Wi-Fi signal only intermittently near the door. The room was located less than 5 meters from the speakers of a bar, with music blaring until 1:00 AM, and loud shouting and conversations lasting until late at night. A bedside lamp was broken. The bathroom had no toilet seat, a loose paper roll holder, and the plastic shower curtain was truly filthy. Excessively overpriced for the service we received. I do not recommend it.

Lovely accommodation in a rustic style. Very clean and comfortable. The only drawback, in my opinion, is the bar next door in the courtyard, which is why I deducted a point. It's very loud until 2 a.m., and it feels like the speakers are right behind the wall. For someone who wants to party and drink right next to the bar, it's ideal and recommendable. However, for someone with small children who need to put them to bed, the location is absolutely not recommended.
