Muthu Fort William Hotel

I had a lovely stay at Muthu Hotel and Rose Ann and Jhan in reception took great care of me during my stay . My bed was very comfortable , the room size for a single room was very spacious and the bathroom lovely and modern. Good water pressure and heat. I loved the clean floors and windows.

A surprisingly warm and comfortable stay in the heart of Fort William I stayed at Muthu Fort William Hotel during my trip through the Highlands, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises of my journey. The location alone is worth five stars — right on the main road with an easy walk to the town centre, the waterfront, and plenty of restaurants. It made exploring Fort William incredibly convenient, especially after a long day of travelling and filming. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. Not the scripted type of hospitality — they actually made an effort to chat, help with local tips, and made me feel looked after from the moment I checked in. That warmth really stood out. My room was clean, comfortable, and much more spacious than I expected. The bed was great for getting proper rest, and the heating worked perfectly — a blessing after stepping in from the cold Highland air. I also really appreciated how quiet the hotel was at night; it made the whole stay feel peaceful. Overall, Muthu Fort William Hotel offers great value, a perfect location, and the kind of friendly service that makes you want to come back. If you're travelling through Fort William — whether for hiking, sightseeing, or filming like me — this hotel is a solid, reliable choice. I’d happily stay here again.

Really nice and clean with great service and breakfast. Only down side is the rooms are not very sound proof so you can hear the TV and other sounds from next door. Mattress was a bit too firm for my liking but we had a fantastic night away and would come back.
