A piece of our valley's history. This village was inhabited and populated year-round in the early 1900s. It was a stopping point for the mountain pastures below Roccamelone, complete with a tavern. Once upon a time, the meadows below Roccamelone were all cut by hand, and the ascent was almost exclusively on foot. The problem was always water, which was only recently brought in. For this reason, it was practically abandoned.

It is certainly a place for those who love nature and the mountains. It is absolutely not abandoned and neglected. A few people do everything possible to keep the village alive.
Vittorio Petrolati
A beautiful place, but quite neglected. I'd say the few who frequent it don't have a passion for the mountains. Rubbish lying around, fences with recycled netting, and little sense of the alpine environment.
