Staying with Jimsher and Risa, the sweetest older couple you could imagine, was one of the highlights of our trek on the TCT from Mestia to Ushguli. After walking all day in cold rain, we arrived soaked and exhausted, but the moment they saw us, they welcomed us with so much warmth and genuine excitement. They showed us to our room right away, which was spacious, cozy, and most importantly, warm. They gave us our space but somehow also made us feel instantly cared for. They offered to make us dinner (for a very reasonable price like 30 Lari), and when we eagerly said yes, they immediately started preparing everything from scratch. While they cooked, they brought out tea, fresh bread, cheese, and homemade jam. We didn’t share a common language beyond a few words of English, but Risa’s kindness and smile made everything feel easy. She is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met. After about two hours, they served us a meal that was honestly one of the best I have ever had. It was plentiful, comforting, and made with so much love. We shared some Georgian chacha with them, laughed a bit despite the language barrier, and went to bed full and happy. The mattresses were super comfortable, and after such a long day, it felt amazing to finally rest. In the morning, Risa made us a delicious Georgian breakfast and even packed us a small lunch for the trail with a boiled egg, cucumber, bread, and khachapuri. Before we headed out, Jimsher took us up into the Svan tower on their property, and the views from the top were incredible. I would go back in a heartbeat. Jimsher and Risa are such generous, warmhearted people, and staying with them is something I will remember for a very long time. I am so grateful for their hospitality.

Wow, wow, wow! It’s hard to find words for this amazing place and this truly special experience. Exceptional hospitality, excellent food, fantastic location, peaceful and cozy rooms, and a lovely garden — this is exactly what I dreamed of when I came to travel in the area. And the highlight: the hostess, A lady in the name Risa — the sweetest person you'll ever meet! Charming, funny, energetic, a great cook, always helping with so much love. All that’s left to say is a huge thank you and to recommend everyone to come here! With love Alexander :)

Very generous, welcoming people! The food was more than great and they offer an astounding variety. So you get to try a lot of different traditional georgian meals, all in very good quality with the freshest ingredients. We got to see the sunset from the tower that is connected to the house! The house is cozy and warm and everything is clean. Over all just a great experience
