Rising Sun, St Mawes

Just had an amazing meal here. The chicken wings and tempura pork were superb plus the Mon Dhu stout. Really fantastic beer. It's totally changed for the better from when I was last here many years ago. The staff are absolutely superb. Helpful and full of interesting conversation. A must place to go if you are on the Roseland.

Stayed her for one night only. The room we had ( nr1) was very comfortable and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was lovely too. We didn’t dine at the pub. Location is perfect too right at the harbour in St. Mawes. Highly recommend

Beautiful boutique pub/ hotel. The decor of this place is absolutely stunning, suite 3 was by far the loveliest room we have ever stayed in it had the most beautiful views across the harbour and the most luxurious bathroom, the attention to detail here is second to non, toweling bathrobes, dry robes hanging in the closet, bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge to accompany the fine selection of tea coffees and biscuits. The staff are all really lovely, chatty and friendly but also extremely professional in their service, we had an amazing roast dinner followed by desert and the breakfast was fresh, tasty and very plentiful. St Mawes is an absolutely beautiful place with plenty to see and do if you enjoy a good walk, if you don't pop on the ferry over to Falmouth for an equally nice day out exploring the shops and bars.
