I had a wonderful stay right in the heart of Meiringen — a perfect base to explore the central Switzerland, while also enjoying the calm and peaceful atmosphere of this charming town. The hotel offers all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay. The staff is genuinely kind, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any guest request. The room was spacious, very well equipped, and the Nespresso machine was definitely a great added touch. The bed was extremely comfortable and guaranteed a perfect night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent, with a very good selection and high-quality regional ingredients, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will absolutely be back. Thank you very much to the entire team for such a pleasant stay.

I would not recommend this hotel. In fact, my friend and I stayed at 5 hotels during our stay in Switzerland and we would recommend all of the other hotels, we just were very disappointed in this one. First of all, management refused to cancel reservation despite plenty of notice (weeks). I actually tried to cancel within minutes of booking after learning that a number of the sites we wanted to see in the town would be closed during our visit. Despite our travel agency trying to cancel with plenty of notice, our request was rejected. The travel agency was pretty shocked as they usually have success with cancelations given the amount of time before the trip. This hotel cost us about $400 USD for one night and it was not worth the price at all. As for the hotel room itself, it was not impressive. The sheets felt like sandpaper. The pillows were so thin. My friend found a long hair on her side of the bed. The shower was a joke - so small and with a thin curtain. The sink area was so poorly designed -- the shelf over the sink made it impossible to use the sink to brush teeth. Not worth the money at all. The breakfast was also nothing great. We left the hotel right after breakfast because there was no need to stay there any longer. I loved Switzerland and plan to visit again within the next two years but will skip this hotel and recommend others to do the same.

The hotel had a very cool aviation-themed interior and the staff were all incredibly helpful. The breakfast was also spectacular! As others have pointed out, like most Swiss hotels there is no air conditioning. However, the room we stayed in had a very powerful cooling tower fan that did the trick for us. The windows can also be opened to cool the room off overnight.
