Da Concavo e Convesso

The b&b is centrally located and convenient to all of the sights and activities in the old town. The room was clean and spacious with good AC, plenty of towels and a large bathroom. The balcony is charming and a real highlight. On the downside, there are a lot of steep narrow stairs to navigate with luggage. The communication about how to get in the building and get a key could have been better managed. We arrived right at check in time, but no one was here and we couldn’t find a contact number on the website. We ultimately found a contact phone number in an email and were able to get someone here within 15 minutes. Lastly, when we arrived, there was no water in the whole b&b. We called the manager and they had to bring in a plumber. It took about 3 hours to get the water restored which was very unpleasant since we just finished a 5 hour hike and were seriously grimy and couldn’t even wash our hands. But it was addressed quickly and is one of those things that happens with these small b&bs.

Da Concavo e Convesso was a lovely place to stay for a night. It's right in the centre of the old town and and accessible to many lively bars and restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was terrific - plenty to choose from, with delicious and high quality local products and produce. The room was light and spacious and well-appointed. Being a very old re-purposed building it has a lot of stairs which may not be for everyone. Parking was close - about 200m away.
