Westbeach Holiday Apartments

Myself and my family have just spent a nice long weekend here as a base whilst visiting good friends who live in Westward Ho! Here is an honest and open review. On first arrival, it was a little tricky to find the entrance but after multiple trips around the one way system we found it (My wife was a teacher in Appledore for many years and often visited Westward Ho! And even she struggled to guide us in). Bigger or more clear signage would definitely be a big plus, especially onsite to specific block numbers/locations too as that was the next challenge. Once on site, at first it is a little daunting with the derelict buildings and steelworks adjacent to the completed apartments but once inside the apartment itself, wow! Bravo to the team who have kitted these out as the finishes are of a really good quality! The arrival brochure and pamphlet goes a long way to explaining the outside buildings aforementioned and quite shocking in the same breath, I want to wish the owners, whether public or corporate, all the best in their fight to get these apartments exactly to where they were always planned to be, if it ever reached those heights then they would be exemplary for the area and we would expect to pay higher prices, which we would happily do so at that point! In terms of a holiday apartment, they are perfectly located, close to the shore and food vendors with parking plentiful, the three bedrooms were all nice, finished to a high standard as was the living/kitchen areas. There were a couple of small things in the bathroom but I believe my wife has fed back directly about these but they weren’t detrimental to the stay whatsoever. Bottom line, would we stay again? I wouldn’t think twice about booking again for our next visit to see friends, in fact, this may very well become our base in this part of Devon! Which we explore every area every year (We’ve pretty much seen it all now). Keep up the good fight and we’ll be booking again sooner rather than later. Thank you.

We had a fanastic stay at Westbeach. It was clean, tidy, modern and right on the seafront. There was everything we need in the kitchen for a long weekend. The bed was comfortable with soft linen. The bathroom was lovely and clean. I would recommend for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy the coast in North Devon

Great Experience at Westbeach Apartments. We were a family of four plus two dogs and it was spot on. The apartment was spotless, comfy, and had everything we needed. Central location — right by the beach, shops and pubs ! Perfect for dog walks and watching the sea in the evening. Super easy check-in and parking too. We’ll definitely be book for next year !
