Chalet Eden

This is beautiful place to stay if you’re planning to ski at La Thuile. We stayed here for 8 nights, having journeyed 2.5 hrs from Milan airport by car. There are two buildings: the original older stone building with traditional rooms and the newer wooden annex with newer rooms. 3 of our party shared the 2-level room in the wooden annex with a loft. The room was large and v well designed, with bathroom downstairs and loft upstairs. The sofa bed was comfortable if a bit narrow, the upstairs was a large king bed. Both beds were good and pillows were alright. Bathroom had very modern and strong shower and the toiletries were lovely; came from their spa. Heating from the room-controlled radiators kept us warm and toasty. The basement had a ski storage with boot warmers and doubled as a bike locker in summer. There was a shuttle service to bring guests to and from the gondola which was a 7 minute walk from hotel but it was convenient so that you don’t have to carry ski gear walking uphill. The outdoor hot tub/jacuzzi is great after a long day of skiing with great views of the mountain. There is also a spa with indoor heated swimming pool for the days when it was too windy to ski. The brand new outdoor sauna is super-soothing for aching leg muscles! We dined at the hotel restaurant on two nights and the food is great! Good for families who don’t want to brave the cold nights looking for food. The cozy bar serves free snacks at tea time when you order one drink, great incentive to stay in! Service is amazing and for us, it was a winner from the reception, to the table servers, the bar staff, shuttle drivers, all were excellent and went out of their way to make us comfortable.

This is a fantastic hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We stayed for 4 nights and were very sorry to leave. Our room was very comfortable, amazing bathroom, good bed and bedding. Lots of towels and toiletries. Would have liked maybe one English speaking news channel, but the barman put the match on for us! The spa when open, will make it perfect. Skiing was amazing too.

Lovely stay off the main season. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff, nice room, great spa area which we had mostly for ourselves. Good breakfast. Hope to come back :-)
