ibis Styles Paignton

We have just had an excellent three night stay in a premier room at this hotel. The room was very clean and had a fantastic view. There is a lovejy big shower, with nice smelling products and a massive, comfy bed. The breakfast at the adjacent sister hotel ( Mercure), was outstanding. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A modern, newly built seafront hotel, opened in early 2024 as part of Paignton’s promenade regeneration. The site has an interesting past, having previously housed long-standing seaside cafés and, more recently, a local bar and nightclub. It’s well located, just a short walk from the pier and Paignton town centre, making it easy to explore shops, cafés and the seafront without needing the car. There’s a relaxed ground-floor bar, ideal for an evening drink, and sea-view rooms are available at a higher cost with lovely views across the bay. Rooms are comfortable, though the shower drainage was slow, and despite a stated 3pm check-in, rooms aren’t always ready on time. Managers stepped in at this point to speed communication up between facilities and front of house. Staff really can't enough for you making the stay even more memorable. We didn’t try the breakfast options, but there is plenty locally. Overall, a pleasant stay in a smart, modern building with a great location.

The rooms were of a generous size, clean, modern and well equipped. My only concern was the shower seemed to cause a slight problem as it drained, it was a little slow to drain! We were a party of four, in two seperate rooms and all slept well also! The staff were polite and really helpful. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.
