Old, cozy hotel. Rooms are fine. Centrally located but Medias is tiny so hard not to be in a good location. It’s old so you hear other guests in their rooms but that’s to be expected. The hotel deserves its decent rating but unfortunately our one night was not great. Our room was above the parking and rear patio of the restaurant…and there was annoying noise from groups smoking, laughing, chatting late into the evening. Maybe on a different night we would have been luckier…. It’s a decent hotel but was not a quiet night

The services were excellent: the restaurant's lunch & dinner food receives 4 stars, together with waiters' services (do not miss papanasi and gulas or ciorba de tarhon). The hotel and restaurant are very clean, quiet, good music during eating, the furniture was very beautiful, the view lovely. The location is great, exactly in the city center. They received us with our fur babies (2 dogs). We will gladly come back here. Thank you!

I’ll review the hotel and the restaurant separately, as we had different experiences with each. Hotel Pros: The location is great - right in the city centre, in the central park area. The room was very spacious, with both a bathtub and a shower, which was a nice surprise. The receptionist made our check-in really easy and was exceptionally prompt whenever we needed anything. The vintage furniture and the structure of the room gave it that old-world charm that we really appreciated. The cleaning was great - the room was spotless, which made us feel comfortable right away. And I have to mention this - I loved the wide, fluffy towels! It's a small detail, but it really added to the comfort. Cons: We happened to be there during the Mediaș Days festival, and since the hotel is right in the central park, it was very noisy at night - it honestly felt like the crowd was partying in our room. The next night we realized the windows didn’t close properly, which explained why the noise was coming through no matter how hard we tried to shut them. It was a bit better the second night, but still not great. At one point, water started dripping from the ceiling, probably because the guests above were using the bathroom and something wasn’t working right. Thankfully, the staff responded quickly and offered us another room, which was appreciated. Restaurant Pros: Breakfast was included. While the variety wasn’t huge, it covered the basics: fried eggs, omelette (a bit oily), a cheese platter, cold cuts, sausages and hot dogs, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and bread. It did the job but I would work on the variety especially for legumes and dietary restrictions. We also chose to have dinner at the restaurant, especially since we got a 10% discount as hotel guests. The service was very good - the waiter who served us was friendly, attentive, and really listened to us. Cons: I had a tarragon soup, which wasn’t quite the classic recipe, but it was okay. The gulyás soup was excellent, and the burger was decent. We also ordered a mixed meat platter, which was quite good overall, but unfortunately the “mici” were undercooked (raw inside). We asked for another round, but even the second batch was still raw. At the end, the 10% discount wasn’t applied to the bill, so we had to point it out ourselves. Overall: The hotel has charm and potential, with great staff, a central location, excellent room cleaning. However, some maintenance issues and poor sound insulation affected the experience, especially during a loud weekend. Would I come back? Maybe.
