ATTENTION SCAM!! In winter time, better stay in Borres only 40 minutes down the Camino, plan to not stay in this village because you’ll find out that the dormitory is closed but they will scam you for 60€ for a small room with bed and shower and nothing else which isn’t even suitable as an accommodation, no table, no good heating, windows out to the factory, wind trembling the windows, had the coldest night in a hotel. 60€ I wouldn’t pay for that. they do have a shop and a small bar open year round, use only that if needed.

A good albergue to stay at before the Hospitales. The dorm is spacious and divided by curtains. Very clean. The hostess is super friendly. The wifi works well. Currently it's €15 per bed (October 2025). The little grocery store is a lifesaver, it's open from 8:00 – 20:00 even on Sundays. It's fairly well stocked for a small store and it's even got fresh fruit and vegetables. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, but the bar stays open. The negatives: - There's no kitchen at all (no fridge, no microwave, no dishes, no kettle) - The bar doesn't open until 7:30 - No common area for pilgrims (only the bar) (It might be a good idea to prebook if you want to stay here, I walked the Camino in October and booked their last bed by email in the morning.)

We had a private room and it was lovely. Really quiet and a nice view. The location is excellent, right on the camino. And it's one of the only locations that has good vegan / veggie options. We had a chickpea stew. The woman there is lovely, shop is well stocked with fresh bread each day and the tea is made with tea leaves for breakfast! I'm not sure why the negative reviews - it's a quiet area, but this place is well looked after and has everything you need.
