Hotel Engelberg "mein Trail Hotel"

Great service, fantastic hosts, great food, great breakfast, everything is clean and tidy. I just wish they’d invest in black-out curtains. The lights from the street at night seep in quite brightly inside the bedrooms, which is a nuisance for people who like to sleep in the dark like me.

Complete excellence.The service, the breakfast, the location, teh welcoming nature of the hotel - all completely excellent, far exceeding expectations. A special thank-you to the owner, Nadia - the perfect, warm, welcoming hostess.

Breakfast is provided by the hotel and it's real nice. There was an outstanding selection being served for breakfast...all traditional European. The cost was very reasonable, but the attached restaurant was pricey. Be careful, the wait-staff may take advantage of American generosity and sweet-talk a hefty tip out of you. You might want to carry a little bit of cash instead of telling them to add a percentage to the bill.
