Had a fine stay here. Room and bathroom are clean and well kept. Unclear if the shared spaces - little kitchenette, outdoor seating area - can be used? Location is good for getting around the rest of town. Didn’t get responses from the host on booking.com It was a good place to sleep but not comfortable to relax in the morning or mid-afternoon. If I were to visit San Quirico again I’d try something else.

At first, the owner didn't reply us despite us asking a few questions over booking.com message. We were quite worried about checking in because we didn't get any instructions at all. When we arrived at around 2:50. Nobody was home (it is an apartment above the owner house, with a separate door to go into the apartment from outside.) There is obviously no lift and you have to climb flights of stairs to go to the door and once you open the door, more stairs to go into your apartment. We had to communicate using translation app with the owner most of the time due to the language barrier but it was fine. Anyway, at 3pm sharp the owner came back riding a bicycle and gave us the key and check in for us. Now, the house is very self sufficient, we were there for 2 days and it was great. It has nearly everything you need. Gas stove, cooking utensils, cutleries, hair dryer and even a washing machine that you can use for free. It also has a balcony with a pretty good view. The apartment is really clean, you can tell the owner put in a lot of effort in cleaning and maintaining this one bedroom apartment. The location is good, nearly all the hot spot for Tuscany photography places are around 10-30 minutes drive from here, so it's actually situated in the centre of all these hotspots. The only downside is it doesn't have air conditioner. If you were there during cooler day then it is fine. But we were pretty unlucky as the 2 days we were there there was a heatwave that lasted 2 days LOL. It was 38 and 40 degree Celsius. The heat was pretty unbearable for us. Fans were provided despite not having AC. The "La Torre Room" apparently has an AC from other guests photos but not the "La Torre house", which is a one bedroom apartment all for yourself. In terms of parking, it's street parking. There are quite a number of parking in front of the house but you might not get one if they are fully occupied by other residents. Overall it is a great place to stay, I will definitely come back again in autumn or spring. But not summer. Edit: we got a text from the owner that we left an item there and she saved it for us for a few months! We went back to pick it up again when we passed by Tuscany a few months after!
