Eakie House Guesthouse

Great comfortable apartments, everything looks newly done, clean and full of charm. Communication with Alex was smooth and quick, every question answered in prompt reply and lots of advice where to go, what to do and see. Location is just a dream, mountains and nature on your doorstep.

Whoever wrote the 5 star review either stayed in a different place or is a friend of the owner. Our downstairs apt. was serviceable and clean but without all lights working, is gloomy and dark. Advertised queen bed is actually a double, so two people are either on top of each other or rolling off the edge all night. Location right on the road is noisy, and you can hear every movement in the upstairs apt. I wouldn't complain if the price was within the range of the four other B&Bs we stayed at around Scotland, but this place was almost double. I'd recommend shopping for a better venue. This was far below the quality and value of what we've come to expect in Scotland.

The house is split into two apartments. Upper and lower floor. Great base for exploring the Highlands.
