I stayed here on my six day self-guided solo walk through the Umbrian hills. WOW!!!f This was my favourite place to stay. The concept of Agriturismo -- means that farms have added a tourist accommodation to their working farms. Maria, the host, was part of the generations of her family who have worked the land to produce olive oil. She showed me the olive oil presses from her ancestors which she still keeps showing how olive oil was made in bygone times The buildings on the farm where we stayed are all converted within the 1000+ years of structure into tasteful and very comfortable rooms. The lovely, shaded pool was a welcome relief. And the fact that there are only a few people staying there was wonderful. THANK YOU THANK YOU

Maria and her family were absolutely charming, and she drove us to Trevi for dinner at a very good restaurant she recommended. The accommodation was very clean and we were provided with everything we needed. Breakfast was substantial and included fresh bread she had made and several cakes. She was warm and hospitable with very good English. Our nicest host so far on the St Francis walk.

Tucked away in the foothills and relatively close to the sea is this B&B located. The view from all rooms is stunning and a stay at I Mandorli is value for money. Small down-sides of the accommodation are the lack of a locker room and laundry service or the bedsprings that help you wake up early. Waking up early is anyways a good idea since breakfast ends at 09.00.
