What an absolutely fantastic place for horse riding of any ability! My newlywed wife and I fancied our first horseriding experience together on our honeymoon, and these guys did not disappoint! We were both a little nervous due to our lack of experience, but the staff clearly prioritize safety, putting our minds at ease and giving us just the most perfect, calm horses for our ride together. And what a beautiful experience! The location is heavenly, and the owner and other staff are just amazing. Janette, who rode with us, was so lovely, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel so welcome and confident! We booked an hour's ride, but we will definitely be back for a longer session next time we are up here. Highly recommend! 👏👏👏

Wow such wonderful, knowledgeable, lovely people. I booked a hack for myself and 3 children 2 of which had never ridden before, I was weary with not being in the saddle for a long time and now having limiting disabilities and gaining a few pounds. We were treated with respect not made to feel awkward at all and the kids put at ease, Janet who came on the hack with us and 3 young helpers were all lovely and chatty the whole way thru. Our horses were amazing especially mine! 'Boris' such a gentle giant I cant fault anything with the horses or the staff all were just fantastic not a hoof put wrong for us, the staff know every little detail about the horses. We will definitely be returning year on year. Anybody visiting the western lakes please check this place out, you will be greeted by the horses on ennerdale fells in all their glory and majestic ways. Beautiful memorable day for us last Wednesday (13.08.25) see you guys again soon. Keep up the good work xx

Yeah bit of a shame really, it wasn’t super obvious that it was a campsite but we had seen reviews and knew not to expect too much. Unfortunately it was as stated but we were pretty desperate. Garden was sloping but we found an okay spot to pitch, toilet was awful but at least we had a hot shower, didn’t attempt to use the kitchen area. The scenery was lovely and we were grateful for some chairs to sit on. Just know it’s an option if you’re in desperate need, it was still £12 when we went May 2024 but no other campsites around Ennerdale bridge (maybe a scout one by the water?)
