We had a wonderful stay at this hotel Palazzo Renieri . The rooms were clean, comfortable, & nicely kept, the hotel itself was charming. The only issue we had was that when we tried coming back to the hotel next time the door to the front was locked, and our key would not work. However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the lady who worked there, Maria!!!! She was incredibly kind, professional, & welcoming from the moment we arrived. She spoke perfect English, has a great sense of humor, and she made breakfast every morning with the best coffee I’ve ever had. Maria truly became the highlight of our stay — she made us feel at home, we’ll always remember her warmth & hospitality. Highly recommend this hotel, especially thanks to Maria ! The hotel is absolutely lucky to have Maria working there, wouldn’t be the same without her! She made this one of the best stays ever!

Great accommodation, fantastic buffet breakfast. The cakes and pastries were delicious. Gabriele at the hotel was so lovely, he provided a fantastic recommendation to take a drive to an off the beaten track sight, Abbazia di San Galgano. Well worth visiting, we enjoyed reading about the history of the abbey and the church where the sword of San Galgano is preserved. Fascinating. Grazie Gabriele, un giorno ci vedremo in Australia e ti mostreremo il canguro e il koala!

Great breakfast, a buffet of cakes and fruit as well as a few savoury options very few), good espresso, nice service, very friendly breakfast staff. The room was a very purple, even more purple than in the pictures *even the cealing is purple) a bit dated, but nice and cool. The shower was a challenge to navigate and varied in water pressure. The staff at the reception was okay, spoke good English. Make sure to have cash to pay the city tax. I was out of cash and felt that the guy at checkout really didn't like that... The location is good, avoid the bar across the street, and I recommend booking a restaurant in advance if you can. The old town is really pretty, parking can be an issue, so good luck!
